I grew up in a structured home with both parents and several older brothers and sisters. My father always said I was a late bloomer, and he'll tell you I was also a mama's boy. My parents put all of us in swimming lessons; I think I was 4 or 5 years old, and for the first three summers, I stayed in the baby pool while the rest of my siblings progressed. Then one summer l went from level three to the top level all in one year. That was the pattern of my life. During grade school at Barcelona Middle School, I was always a student of the month and a teacher's pet. I was on the honor roll and involved in the science fair in 2002; I always had perfect attendance, received the award in the physical education program in 2002, and played Pop Warner's football from 5th to 8th grade. During that same year, I completed the gang resistance education and training curriculum. I was on the student council during the 2001-2002 school season. I attended Apollo High School, where I graduated in 2010. During my high school career, l played basketball and football. I was very popular with all the teachers. My football coach was Zach and one of my mentors.
In 2009 as a junior l was in the top 1% of my class to become part of a group called a coop. This group were tutors and mentors for the working teachers and some parents of children 3 to 5 years old at Apollo while they worked during the day. What a privilege! And trust! During that same year, I completed the six pillars of a student of the month: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. After that, I attended Northern Arizona University to pursue a bachelor's in Criminal Justice from August 2010 to December 2012. after that, I attended Phoenix College in 2022.
My father used to tell me that all the people he knew who thought they were tough were dead. That's because they took the wrong road of life, which included gangs, drugs, and hanging out with the wrong crowds. He told me that being tough is raising a family, working, making ends meet, and living paycheck to paycheck. Life is like a roller coaster. It has its highs and lows when hanging on to this. That's tough. Nobody's perfect we all make mistakes and I own up to mine I want forget where I've been so I'll know where I'm going. I completed A plumbing class and am taking an Electrical class. I also work in the yard and have worked outside the yard.
