Hello,

My name is James. I'm posting this ad with the hopes of meeting some people of positive influence who will help me establish contact on the outside. I've been incarcerated for 12 years on a 40-year sentence and have a few more years to go until I'm eligible for parole. During these years, I've occupied my time with education. I have an Associate's in business and marketing and an Associate's in culinary arts. I'm currently waiting to be accepted into the Bachelors program. Until then, my focus has been on being a teacher's aide and a peer tutor. becoming the best me is my primary goal each and every day I wake up. But the world is ever evolving and I desire to stay in tune with it. Literally, I'm like a flintstone compared to the speedy Jetsons world you live in! LOL :) Seriously, my only fear in life is to become ignorant of reality. By choice, I refuse to be oblivious to this stagnated state, so I fight against the routine of just existing in a cage. I choose to be positive amongst the negative, conscious amongst the unconscious, and optimistic in this graveyard of "Dreams." I've forgiven myself for my past mistakes, and I love the man I am today, so I think I am prepared to be a great friend to you.
