When I was a young boy, somehow, I made up my mind to reach beyond any boundary that held me back. I didn't always succeed, and many times I quit one route just to start over from another point. Sometimes I even switched goals. I never sat comfortably in discomfort.
I don't know how I inhabited this quality but it conditioned me to be relentless in my ambition to achieve any goal. This relentlessness is the foundation of my personality. It's not always noticeable, but it's always there. It manifested in immature ways at times. I laugh at how relentlessly I pursued stupidity. Wish I knew then what I know now. Some memories are sad. Some of them are game-winning shots.
The most valuable thing about relentless ambition is the ability to have a boundless vision. Everybody has it. Most people just don't use it. When a child says they want to be a movie star, most people will tell them it's not likely. You may not expect this from me, but... I agree. NOTHING is likely. Ambition is the key to unlocking the likelihood of achieving any goal. I wouldn't advise that hypothetical child to decide what they want AFTER they know what's likely. I'd advise them to take the steps to make what they want becoming likely. This will annoy you or inspire you. Either way, this will always be me!
