Hey, I'm Daniel. I'm 26 years old, Latino, and I'm currently incarcerated in Minnesota, United States. I've been in prison since I was 18 years old, so I grew up behind these walls. I've learned so much about myself and am still learning with all this solitary time to reflect.
My belief is that in order to look into yourself and understand who you are, is three parts of things: first is self-reflection; second is seeing the self through the perspective of others; and third is to partake in attempting to understand other's experience as well as our own.
This is one of the reasons why I'm on this website so that I might grow as an individual and also as a collective member of the community… and just maybe, if I'm lucky, I can help you pursue meaning and growth. It's as the old Proverb goes: "If you'd like to go fast, go it alone… but if you'd like to go far, go it together."
