Dear prospective friend,
I’ve made serious mistakes in my life and I feel that you should hear this directly from me up front. Moreover, I erred in my judgment concerning consanguineous matters of the heart.
And worst of all, in the end, I broke the heart of the one true Love of My Life…my Soulmate…my Everything-my Beautiful daughter. Given these facts, I couldn’t blame you if you just passed by my profile to find someone else who seems less broken.
And, I acknowledge that this is a rather unorthodox greeting seeking friendship. But, I’m not going to spin a story about how “My alleged victim is lying”, or “I’m innocent of my charges” “I received a wrongful conviction”, or how “I’ve found happiness while in prison”, or that “I enjoy long walks on the beach and hang gliding-“ all to elicit a response. I’m. not interested in having a friendship based on a lie.
The truth is much less remarkable: My heart aches for my daughter–as I miss her deeply; I’m clinically depressed; I’m never leaving prison; and I’d like to make a friend.
If you do choose to befriend me, I will never take it for granted; and will always cherish our friendship. I will be a friend for life! I do hope to hear from you…
Very sincerely
