Hello,

My name is Timothy Horton, and I am writing to find friendly, caring people with whom I can interact and help me establish positive contacts on the outside. I’m not looking for someone just to put money on my books and take care of me.

“Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn’t mean they should be punished for them for the rest of their life.” Even good people can make bad choices. It doesn’t define their character; rather, it highlights their humanity. I strongly believe in these words and would be honored to connect with you. If you believe in the power of second chances.

I’m a work in progress, a fact that can still hinder me. I want so badly to move past these mistakes and forget, but that’s not an option. To do that is disrespectful to the people I have hurt.

So, for two years, my work here in prison has been welding and fabrication. I have since moved on to the South Dakota Housing Project. As an apprentice in plumbing and heating, and cooling. I will continue to work diligently and hope to re-enter society as a productive member.

In my spare time, I work on my crafts. I create leather work, like handbags and wallets. I would love to find a place to send some of my work to, to help me sell.
When I’m not working or doing my crafts, I’m working on my own mental, emotional, and physical transformation.

When I do a good workout, I feel surrounded by this field of positive energy and protected from the breeding ground of negative vibes of prison life. Especially when negativity seems perverse around me.

One day, my wings will spread, fully formed once again, rife with battle scars, ready to soar into this new life I have fashioned for myself. Who is willing to help me soar once again?
