I'm hoping to find true friendship with someone who would be interested in getting to know me for who I am, rather than immediately judging me for my past mistakes as a teenager, and who would take the time to get to know me first. Age or appearance is irrelevant to me, as I am far more interested in a person's heart and mind. To help you get to know me and give you better insight into who you will be meeting, here's a brief summary of myself and my story...I am a mature and respectful man who is also very thoughtful, selfless, and compassionate, among many other positive qualities. I have a great sense of humor, and I enjoy making people smile, laugh, and feel better about life because I know how difficult life can be. I grew up in the foster care system, losing my mother and sisters and never knowing my family. After a volatile and ill-fated childhood, my mistakes as an adolescent led me here. In a very unhealthy mental state, I made mistakes that I will always regret. My heart painfully wishes I could rewind time and revitalize the past, but I can only move forward by bettering myself and educating myself in every aspect relevant to being a good man, while remaining hopeful and maintaining a positive outlook on life and a better future. Although you do not know me yet, and though there are many other people/profiles to choose from...If you choose mine and take this opportunity to reach out to me and begin getting to know me and my story, I feel it can be a life-changing experience for anyone who just takes the time to get to know me. I know that through my story, my mistakes, and my life lessons, you can learn so much about life from me. I know you can gain strength, light, and positivity from me. It's my hope that you can become an even better person because of me, and that I can become an even better person because of you as well. You may be feeling nervous or scared, even reaching into a prison to meet and have a chance to have a true friendship with someone like me. If so, please know this...I am a human, just like you. I have feelings and fears just like you. And, if you only knew what I've been through in my life, you would understand why I, too, feel scared to reach out to a world of strangers in another attempt to seek true friendship, not knowing who I will meet. Will I be setting myself up for more heartbreaks and betrayals? We will never know in advance. But we cannot just give up because others have let us down. All we can truly do is take a new chance on someone new and hope they will always be a good person to us. If you take a chance on me, I promise to always be a good person to you.
