Thanks for checking out my profile! It was probably my award-winning smile (just kidding). While incarcerated, it helps to have a sense of humor and patience. So far, during my incarceration, I've tried to stay busy. I've completed several classes, received a certification, and am currently taking Spanish (English is my first language). Hobbies before prison included cooking, writing, reading, hiking, working out, and playing the piano. Fortunately, I can still do all the above (minus hiking and playing the piano). Music-wise, I like all kinds of music, but I am currently in a country music binge. We have a few great country stations in this area that I listen to regularly.
Thankfully, I stay in regular contact with my family (parents and siblings) and am looking for someone else to correspond with and build rapport with. In addition to regular mail, I have access to email through our system here in prison, so that makes keeping in touch easier. While incarceration is a challenge, I'm trying to view it as an opportunity to learn, work on necessary changes to myself, and plan for a better future!
