Hey, I just thought I’d introduce myself.

My name is Diante Madrid, and I’m currently incarcerated at the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. I have no excuse for my actions resulting from my current situation. I’m just thankful that the person I hurt was able to make a full recovery, and I hope and pray that they can come to a place where they can forgive me so we can begin to make amends after I get out in 3 years. Honestly, I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it’s been to come to a place where I can forgive myself. But if my time in prison has taught me anything, it’s taught me that I don’t have to let the biggest life mistake define me. I can’t go back, even though I wish to God that I could. All I can do now is make the best of my circumstances and do better moving forward. I hope to make a real connection here and am excited to see where this goes.
