To whomever may read this. I’d like to bring awareness to an illness that affects 2 out of 3 people worldwide. That illness is called loneliness. There is a quote that says, “Being alone, living alone, and dying alone is the worst punishment that can be inflicted on a human being.”
Loneliness is labeled an epidemic by the current Sergeant General of the United States, who equates the negative health effects of those who suffer from this illness to be the same as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. Now imagine being locked up, dehumanized, thrown away, and forgotten by society and being surrounded by other suffering men in a maze of nothingness. That is how I live daily in this cell while I hope, wish, and pray for a connection. A connection with the right woman. To have that male-to-women interaction. I would like to hear her point of view and opinion, as I give mine. I can only hope that will, at the least, curve the loneliness that we both may share.
My name is Jody. I am currently in year 23 of a 48-year sentence. I am a student at North Park University School of Restorative Arts, working toward my master’s degree in Restorative Justice, and I hold a 4.0 GPA. I am interested in a myriad of things. I am a songwriter, poet, artist, and writer. I love music, movies, art, and sports. I have a great sense of humor and love to laugh.
I am seeking a woman who has similar interests. However, I am open-minded and hope she feels the same. Maybe together, we can help cure the cycle of loneliness we both suffer from. Maybe together, we can help cure the cycle of loneliness we both suffer from. We can be alone together and together soothe both our ails.
I look forward to ending our illness. Thank you for your consideration.
In closing, I leave you with this quote: “Remember, all saints have a past, and all sinners have a future.”
Truly,
Jody!
