Hello, Hola, Bonjour, Gutentag!
My name is Thomas, and I have been in prison for over half my life. But don't let that scare you; I have remained a positive, optimistic person, and I pride myself on overcoming the effects of my environment. (Look, Ma, no face tattoos!) I keep my mind, body, and spirit healthy through weight training, yoga, playing guitar, active reading, and more. But my primary means of catharsis has been my creativity. I've designed multiple logos for free-world businesses, my tattoo patterns have been used on thousands of prisoners, and I was blessed to illustrate testimonial tracts for a nationwide ministry (Comix35). And now I'm excited to share the news of my first book, Felonious Flash For All Occasions, now available on Amazon.com. I'd tell you that this collection of tattoo art and true prison stories is as funny as it is visually stunning, but I'm a bit biased, so you'll have to check it out for yourself. :)
I seek like-minded, highly motivated people to help me manifest my multifold artistic vision when (or before) I move on from my current gated community in 2026. I'm not looking for money, just input, advice, and connectivity. If you're into tattoos, true crime, or just like the idea of contributing to a redemption story, I'd love to hear from you.
An institutional email account can be set up at Jpay.com, but I can also call if you prefer. You can also peruse facebook.com/thomasshulick or @Shuscapes to see more of my work, or if you just want to do a little good-natured online stalking before you write. :)
I look forward to hearing from you and building something extraordinary, fantastico, Magnifique, Wunderbar!
I have created all kinds of works since I was just a boy. My most recent work is my new book containing the images that inspired it. Illustration has been a passion for me ever since I first laid eyes on my father's skill as a painter.
If you're into tattoos, artwork, or laughing at stupid people, check out my new book! "Felonious Flash" contains over twenty years of my artistic journey, along with a few true stories to tickle your funny bone--providing your funny bone is of legal age and offers consent, of course. :)
Here's an excerpt from chapter five, "Jihad Me At Hello," along with a sample of the art inside. Enjoy!
