Every morning, I ask God: What am I doing to help Him help me? Boog Deniro is the pseudonym I've become known as in the Street Lit industry. Writing is my passion: novels, screenplays, and indeed letters. That's the time I feel most free and am embracing the limitless vibe. Tysheem is my birth name. While in prison, I've chosen a path of education and academia to tap into my full potential. I also love to read books. My favorite TV shows are: Law & Order: SVU, the 90s Fiancé franchise, First Take, Tonight with Abby Philip, and Married at First Sight. Even in the face of struggle, I choose to remain positive and allow for the obstacle to be the way. Never running from my goals. I'm a huge sports guy. Love the Knicks and Liberty, Yankees, and the Giants. I'm a New Yorker, born in the late 1970s, and raised in the Bronx during the 1980s and 1990s of the Hip-Hop era. I've also spent time in Pennsylvania. But I own an international mind. Women looking to have meetings of the minds, or just a good novel about street culture and gangsta love to read, I am your guy! Be blessed, ladies.
Tysheem Crocker is a Business Technology graduate, earning a certificate in 2003. Graduating at the top of his class, Tysheem earned a certificate in Creative Writing in 2013. Originally from the Bronx, New York, Tysheem's interests in literature and knack for writing began while serving time in prison. Since 2010, he has published eight novels under the pseudonym Boog Deniro. However, the inspiration for his memoir was Tysheem's fight against injustice and his 25-year struggle for freedom. His relentlessness has landed his story on the award-winning wrongful convictions podcasts with Jason Flom (#330, February 2023) and garnered the attention of other activists. Tysheem has been a guest speaker at Morgan State University, where he discussed the content of his heart-wrenching memoir before a whole class of students. One of his favorite sayings is, 'What am I doing to help God help me?'
