Hello, my name is Russell Larsen. I’m a native Alaskan “Yupik tribe” and Danish. I am a fun, positive, and outgoing individual. I love the outdoors. I enjoy fishing, camping, skateboarding, snowboarding, hiking, and bow shooting. I used to race motocross in Alaska and compete in amateur boxing for almost 13 years. I have a long time to do it, but I'm working on reducing a significant part of my time. Since coming to prison, I’ve graduated and attend AA/NA every Monday. I work in the infirmary as a CAN, taking care of the sick and dying, and injured AICs in the prison. I attend the sweat lodge every month and participate in the spirit run every year. I also participate in our annual powwow as a powwow drummer. I have used my time in prison to transform myself into a better person, not only for myself but also for anyone who might bless me by entering my life as a friend or possibly more.
