Hello,

Thank you for the opportunity, your interest, and the time you took to read my profile. My name is Juan, but everyone calls me Juanito, I guess, for Junior. I'm from the South Side of Chicago, IL, born and raised. I'm 40 years old, single, Mexican-American, and yet I'm fluent in English/Spanish. My passions, interests, and hobbies are cooking and barbering. As a child, I've had a strong connection/bond with food. I'm pretty serious when it comes to Mexican cuisine. I was taught and a bit forced to learn how to cook growing up.

As for barbering, I learned that trade during the COVID-19 pandemic. We didn't have any resources for getting haircuts. So I had no choice but to learn myself, believe it or not. If you're wondering, yes! I messed up my hair badly. I resembled the actor from the movie Beetlejuice. Seriously, though, with practice and time, and later on, others, I became good at it. Now I have my own clientele lol! I'm currently enrolled in community college and I'm studying a Construction Technical Program. I also enjoy reading, exercising, and listening to music of all sorts. I'm a huge Chicago-based sports fan!

If you're wondering what motivated me to use the pen pal services? The answer is loneliness. It was blunt, but it was honest. Overall, my intentions with this service are to connect with or relate to someone, possibly make a friend, and who knows what else may be out there. All I ask for is an opportunity to get to know me as a person, not the person they say I am.
