It can be difficult to better oneself in prison when it is so enticing to lose oneself, but I strive every day to be a better man. I have built a solid relationship with God, strengthened relationships with family, earned an AA degree, became a certified counselor, cultivated healthy coping and social skills, and am preparing to earn a BA degree in child development. Howdy, my name is Mark. I was born and raised in Northern California, living in cities, small towns, and the countryside. While I enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life, I feel most at home in the slow pace of a small country town. After graduating from high school, I enlisted in the army, where I began to make a series of bad decisions that led me to where I am today. I always wanted to travel the world and experience all it has to offer, but that plan is on hold because I am geographically challenged. I am interested in meeting people who would be willing to share their life experiences with someone who desires to learn new things.
