Hello, world,

My name is Stanford Thompson and I’m currently incarcerated in the Illinois Department of Corrections. I am 32 years old and from Chicago, born and raised. My current sentence is 33 years for first-degree murder which has taught me more than anything about humility.

Being labeled an underdog by my peers in society, I’m just hoping to encounter someone upright, independent, and fearless. Those are just three attribute periods I’ve learned it takes to maintain balance in and out of prison.

To cross paths with someone with who we can motivate and inspire one another through our shared stories would truly be a blessing. Recently, I’ve discovered this passion to write which is another reason for signing up for a pen pal.

This form of communication will fill my hunger to write along with the possibility of meeting a new, long-term friend is exciting, to say the least. Also, I’d like to share experiences, lifestyles, and dreams. I’m new to this, so, words are running short, but I strongly encourage whoever is reading this to write or email me.
