Short, light, and ugly! Not really. I didn’t want to start with that cheesy “tall, dark, and handsome.” Though, I am. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Once finished, I hope you’ll have found “some” of what you’re looking for.

I’m Dame, New Orleans born, but I have lived in Seattle for most of my life. I’m the second oldest of 10. I’m a fan of seafood and just about anything deep-fried. My music of choice is reggae; Bob and Damian Marley are two favs.

During the time I’ve been inside, my focus has been on self-help education and vocational programs. I plan to enter the real estate field when released, so I’ve been building a small library. There is a lot to learn, but I’m determined.

Chess and exercise help me maintain a healthy balance of mind and body. Another activity that keeps me busy is beading. I’ve learned to bead lots, earrings, dream catchers, necklaces, etc. I enjoy it. It’s even therapeutic at times. Been honing that skill for seven years now.

Most importantly, I continue building a strong bond with my daughter and grandson. They are definitely, my light at the end of the tunnel.
