My name is Dillon—I'm 37 from Savannah, Georgia. I am in Federal prison for selling drugs and gang charges, serving a 10-year sentence. I get out next year, God willing. My motto is "A diamond is always made under pressure," so I know this hardship is temporary. I have done a lot of growing up since I've been down. I understand and respect life a lot more than I used to. I have been planning daily to re-enter society for the past six years, so I am set up for success when I get out.
I am not going to let my failures dictate my future. I have made many mistakes, but as they say, mistakes are lessons learned. I left gang life in 2020; it was the best decision ever. I hope that I can help people when I get out and be an inspiration to people traveling down the same road I was on. The prison has taught me how to survive. It has taught me to cherish and respect life because it's the only one we get. It also taught me to be grateful for every day and to always look at the glass half full. So, through this glass, I am striving to find positive individuals to build healthy relationships with, and that search has brought me here, so it's nice to meet you.
