Hi Gentlemen, As “B” would say to all the “fellas” out there- “Let me update ya on the new and improved Tina Marie!” I’m cute, petite, and very sweet. I was born on October 10, 1958, a Libra who believes that love and loyalty go hand in hand. I’m athletic, and I have both common and intellectual sense, which is a rare combination these days.
I possess excellent communication skills and enjoy learning about new and interesting topics, both old and new. I’ve been in prison for 36 years- since 1986. I’ve met the parole board twice- in 2011 and 2021- & they chose to serve me out on my life sentence. But I will never give up fighting for my freedom. Life is what we make it- there are still positive things I can do from within the DOC system that could save someone from going down the road I traveled.
I gave my life to GOD at the end of 2011. I’m not perfect, nor do I want to be. What I am is a work in progress and a lady who’s proud of who she is today. Kentucky lifers currently have an appeal in court to end life with parole serve-outs and allow us back the parole eligibility that we were sentenced to in the 1980s. Additionally, we are requesting a cap on life, which would release anyone who has served 25 years or more.
I’m looking to meet someone who will accept my situation for what it is. I’ve met several interesting “friends and acquaintances” throughout the years via the WriteAPrisoner website. I’m still lacking that one special and unique gentleman who can and will fill the void in my heart. When that special man comes along who is willing to take a chance and stand beside me, my life will be an open book. This last chapter will be all about us!
Waiting, Tina Marie Powell
