I never would have thought that I would work for a radio station, especially while incarcerated. But, every Friday night, I co-host “Alternative Airwaves” on 106.5 FM The Tank, a low-powered signal beaming from inside the heart of the Texas Death Row Unit. Opened by inmates it is the first of its kind. This is a testimony about how good God is at broadcasting positivity and outreach 24/7.
For each show, we feature a live concert from a band and the alternative banner covers a lot of ground. Everything from hard rock gothic industries, (post) punk, grunge, metal, techno, and way more can be heard. Anything we want and anything our listeners want to hear. Within the show, we deliver God’s word, biographies, histories, experiences, stories, quotes and news, and information from or about bands.
As you can imagine being incarcerated makes gathering material difficult. I am looking for a resourceful pen pal that is interested and able to help bring current news and information to us and our listeners. Come join “Alternative Airwaves” - be a part of the crew and TANK NATION -God Bless
