WRITE THE BIO LIKE THE INMATE IS WRITING IT, NOT YOU! If you write in your opinion or your perspective, we will REJECT.

The bio section is the heart of the profile. It is where the inmate tries to make a connection with the reader, hoping that it will encourage the reader to contact the inmate.

• Use proper words, grammar, and punctuation to the best of your ability. Stay clear of slang, vulgarity, and abbreviations.
• Do not repeat the information you entered; it will be listed on the profile page.
• NOT ALLOWED any poetry, writings, court case findings/opinions, or political options. For poetry/writings, use TABS Options.

The bio is too short, this will cause a negative effort on the inmate’s profile. It projects to the reader that the inmate made no effort to share and try to make a connection.

Here are some suggestions to make the profile more interesting:

• Share some basic information about the inmate. For example, you could mention occupation, life achievements, or hobbies. This can help others get a better sense of who the inmate is and what they're interested in.
• Add some specific details about the inmate's interests or hobbies. For instance, if they enjoy reading, you could mention their favorite books or authors. Or if they enjoy music, you could share some of their favorite artists or genres.
• Share some of the inmate's goals or aspirations. This can give others a sense of what they're working towards and what motivates them.
• Ask some open-ended questions to encourage others to start a conversation. For example, you could ask about their favorite travel destination, the last movie they watched, or their favorite food.
• Consider adding some humor or wit to your inmate's profile. This can help them stand out and become more memorable to potential penpals.
